Festival Feira Preta is a festival of Black culture and entrepreneurship held at Ibirapuera Park, the largest park in São Paulo. Over three days, it celebrates the existence, resistance and power of the Black community. I was invited to design the identity of its largest edition, in May 2024, under the theme "Being happy is our revolution". In a playful, balanced typographic design, I used a font often seen at protests for Black identity and against racism around the world, to convey joy, impact and movement. With photo treatments and graphic elements, it became a versatile system, easy to repeat across billboards, posters, signage, stickers, merch and stage backdrops. The festival drew over 60,000 people and 300 attractions, and raised over R$1.3 million for Black entrepreneurs.
